CWF BS416 C.I. Drainage Pipes and Fittings - page 2
Introduction

BS 416 Socket and Spigot Cast Iron Drainage Pipes has long been employed by the building industry as a reliable and inexpensive drainage system.  Comparing with plastic pipes, cast iron is more solid and durable.  Furthermore, because cast iron has excellent noise suppression and fire resistant characteristic, it is every architect's choice for drainage inside the building.  Chung Wing Iron Works' BS416 and other cast iron products were first used in Hong Kong in 1952 at the North Point Healthy Village.  Ever since then, our products have now been used in over hundreds of building and civil projects.  This long history is a testimony to the quality of our products and sign of trust from our satisfying customers.

Manufacturing Process

Our pipes from DN75 to DN225 are centrifugally cast; molten iron is poured into a spinning metal mold.  DN50 and DN300 pipes are cast using continuous casting machine; molten iron into a metal mold section which moved vertically.   Our pipe fittings are cast using sand mold.
