Introduction
Chung Wing Iron Works (International) Ltd. has been providing quality
metal casting since 1948, specializing in gray (grey) iron and ductile
iron castings, as well as stainless steel products. Our products include
pipes and pipe fittings, manhole and surface box covers, channel cover
grating, tree grills, drains, street furniture and decorations, as well
as some custom castings. Our facility is located in the southern part of
China, with molding capabilities include molding machines, cope and drag
molding, and pit molding. Core making can be done by cold box resin sand.
Melting is done by two cupolas.
Our products can be found in many Hong Kong public housing projects,
prestigious private estates, commercial buildings, hotels, roads and highways.
That is due to the fact that our quality and customer service have gained
trust and respect from owners, consultants, and contractors alike throughout
these years. We are also a register supplier for the Hong Kong government's
Supplies Department and KCRC (Kowloon and Canton Railway Corporation) and
a member of the Hong Kong Foundry Association and the Japan Foundry Engineering
Society.

Cast Iron Socketless
Pipe System

Socketless cast iron pipe system has excellent
noise
suppression,fire resistant, high rigidity, and low thermal expansion
properties. Furthermore, all pipes and fittings are coated in electrostatically
applied epoxy paint providing superior corrosion protection. Our
pipes are
centrifugally cast to produce dense and homogenous microstructure,
while impurities are eliminated by the great centrifugal force.
With our stainless steel couplings, installation is simple and fast.
In addition, maintenance is easy, simply loosening the coupling and removing
an element.
Cast
Iron Socket and Spigot Pipes and Fittings
Traditional
socket and spigot pipes and fittings have been employed by the construction
and the building industries for many years because of their reliability,
durability
and low cost. Our company has been supplying
BS416
and BS437 socket and
spigot pipes and fittings in Hong Kong since 1952 at the North Point
Happy Villiage government housing estate. Ever since then, our products
have been widely used in public and private housing projects, public facilities,
and civil construction. Our BS416 and BS437 pipes are also centrifugally
cast which produce dense and homogenous microstructure, while eliminating
impurities by the great centrifugal force.
Our BS437 offers both
traditional caulk lead joint and more easy-to-install rubber
gasket flexible joint connecting method.
Floor Drains and
Roof Outlets
Our company offers a large variety of floor
drains and roof outlets with stainless steel grating, cast
iron grating, adjustable level, dome grating, withsediment
buckets, flat grating, hinged grating, for parapet
wall with flat grating and dome grating, and etc. There will

Ductile
Iron Pipes and Fittings
Ductile
iron pipes and fittings have high strength,
excellent impact
resistance and anticorrosion properties, which makes it an excellent
choice for water pressure, sewage, industrial water and gas pipelines.
Ductile iron's superior mechanical properties, ie. tensile strength, bending
strength, and deflection, are contributed by its unique spheroidal graphite
microstructure. All ductile iron pipes are also centrifually cast,
and they can be lined with cement mortar for fresh water pipelines.
Ordinary, our ductile iron pipes and fittings are manufactured in push-on
(Tylon) and mechanical joints. These joints are easy to install
and provide flexibility which may adapt to ground movement.
Manhole Covers
& Frames, Gully Grates and Surface Boxes
Our
company manufactures manhole
covers, gully grates and surface boxes in ductile iron and grey iron.
Ductile
iron has high strength to weight ratio, which allows relatively
lightweight
casting for heavy-duty applications. This allows
faster and
easier installation which saves time and money.
Grey iron is
inexpensive
and most suitable for small sizes and light-duty applications.
Our customers can choose from different sizes and designs for their particular
needs. We can also manufacture our products according to customers' specifications.
Many local communities and landmarks have special decorated manhole
covers, sometimes painted in colors. We are also capable of meeting

Channel Gratings
Different
sizes and designs of channel gratings are available. Channel gratings can
be manufacture in ductile iron
for heavy-duty applications, grey iron
for light-duty, and stainless steel
for decorative purposes in public open spaces, hotels, commercial buildings
and prestigious condominiums.
Recessed
channel grating is also available to be
filled with bricks or stone tiles for decorative purposes.
Tree
Grills
Tree grills are
used to protect the root of a tree from above-ground traffic loads. Apart
from serving this practical function, tree grills can also be decorative.
